With not enough top golfers committed to return in 2027, BC Partners is pulling out of its deal to invest $300 million in LIV 2.0, sources told ESPN.

BC Partners has withdrawn from a proposed $300 million investment deal in the LIV Golf League, according to sources speaking to ESPN. Without a last-minute buyer, the breakaway circuit is reportedly facing asset liquidation. LIV Golf had filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on September 8 after Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund decided not to finance the league beyond the current season.
BC Partners pulled the plug as player negotiations dragged on. While around 30 players had committed for next season, prominent stars such as Jon Rahm, Sergio Garcia, Tyrrell Hatton, and Ian Poulter announced they would not return and will instead compete on the DP World Tour.
