‘This Has To Be Sergio Trolling Us?’ DP World Tour Star Questions Garcia’s Return Statement

Eddie Pepperell has criticized Sergio Garcia for showing a stunning lack of self-awareness after the Spaniard announced his return to the DP World Tour from LIV Golf. Garcia stated that he was proud to call the DP World Tour home again and expressed excitement about strengthening personal relationships, which prompted Pepperell to question the sincerity and tone of the statement on social media.

Pepperell clarified that while he still considers Garcia a wonderful player, he was taken aback by the remarks given Garcia's acrimonious exit in 2022. Garcia previously alienated colleagues, including Rory McIlroy and Robert MacIntyre, following reported locker room outbursts and disputes before leaving for LIV Golf.
