Almeraq secured his third Group 1 victory of the season by winning the Qatar Racing British Champions Sprint at Ascot. Ridden by Tom Marquand and trained by William Haggas, the 11/10 favorite overcame ground to defeat 18/1 runner-up Paborus by a neck, while stablemate Division finished over three lengths behind in third.
Owned and bred by Shadwell, the victory marked Almeraq's second success at Ascot this season following the Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot. Trainer William Haggas and jockey Tom Marquand praised the sprinter's versatility across different conditions, noting his recovery from a bad fall at York the previous year.
