Arizona Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo has emerged as a candidate for the Seattle Mariners' managerial opening, according to The Seattle Times. Lovullo's contract with Arizona expires after the current season, and Seattle is actively searching for an experienced replacement following the departure of former manager Dan Wilson.
Lovullo stated that he hopes to remain in Arizona and win a championship, but noted that he wants to be wanted. Arizona finished 86-76, narrowly missing the postseason, while Lovullo holds a franchise-record 750 wins across 10 seasons with the club.
