Diamondbacks Make Surprise Torey Lovullo Decision

The Arizona Diamondbacks have agreed to a reported two-year contract extension with manager Torey Lovullo. Despite weeks of speculation suggesting he might depart after Arizona missed out on an NL Wild Card spot on the final day of the regular season, team leadership decided to retain him at the helm.

Lovullo has managed the franchise for 10 full seasons since 2017, compiling a 750-768 regular-season record and an 11-10 postseason mark. His tenure is highlighted by an unexpected run to the World Series in 2023, and the new deal aligns his contract with general manager Mike Hazen through 2028.
