Former MLB third baseman Josh Donaldson recalled an early encounter with Alex Rodriguez that gave him a negative first impression of the New York Yankees legend. Speaking on the "Get It Done League" podcast with Evan Longoria, Donaldson described approaching Rodriguez in an Oakland Coliseum batting cage to ask about his swing mechanics. According to Donaldson, Rodriguez dismissed the inquiry by responding with, "Don't talk to me."
Donaldson mentioned that Rodriguez directed him toward Hall of Famer Reggie Jackson instead, despite Jackson being a left-handed hitter. The former Athletics and Yankees infielder stated he experienced other instances where he felt disrespected by Rodriguez, who had not publicly responded to the remarks as of Monday.
