The Atlanta Braves host the Los Angeles Dodgers at Truist Park on Tuesday for a pivotal Game 3 of the National League Division Series. After Atlanta earned a 3-2 victory in Game 2 to tie the series 1-1, both clubs turn to their respective aces. Left-hander Chris Sale starts for the Braves, while right-hander Yoshinobu Yamamoto takes the mound for the Dodgers.
Sale posted a 2.16 ERA this season and threw a shutout against Los Angeles on August 27. Yamamoto makes his 2026 postseason debut after pitching 6 1/3 strong innings opposite Sale in that same August contest. Historical data indicates that the Game 3 winner in a best-of-five series tied 1-1 advances 71.6% of the time.
