The Story in 60 Seconds

Alex Church reports that Baltimore Orioles pitching prospect Juaron Watts-Brown experienced a difficult 2026 campaign and fell behind other rising arms in the system. After being acquired from the Toronto Blue Jays in exchange for Seranthony Dominguez, Watts-Brown dropped out of MLB Pipeline's Top 30 Orioles prospects list following severe struggles with command and preventing runs.

The 24-year-old right-hander recorded a 5.76 ERA across 14 starts at Double-A Chesapeake before posting a 10.22 ERA with 37 walks in 37 innings at Triple-A Norfolk. Despite the setbacks, Church notes that Watts-Brown maintained solid strikeout numbers and is expected to receive an opportunity to rebound in Norfolk's rotation in 2027.
