Happy Halloween Birdland! It is a scary time for Major League Baseball. The World Series is in the rearview, and what lurks around the corner is yet another lockout. The month of November will be the last flurry of action…

The Baltimore Orioles are processing several roster contract options ahead of the 2027 Major League Baseball season. Reliever Ryan Helsley exercised his $14 million player option after an injury-shortened 2026 campaign, while the team agreed to a one-year major league deal with outfielder Rece Hinds. Meanwhile, the club declined its half of a $25 million mutual option on starting pitcher Zach Eflin.
Baltimore is also expected to decline a $20 million club option on outfielder Luis Robert Jr., though potential renegotiations remain possible. The Orioles and other MLB clubs face a November 2 deadline to finalize remaining contract option decisions and tender qualifying offers.
