The Story in 60 Seconds

MLB Pipeline analysts Jim Callis and Jonathan Mayo reviewed Rule 5-eligible prospects in the Arizona Fall League who could be added to 40-man rosters ahead of the Nov. 17 deadline. Top 100 prospects Jarlin Susana of the Nationals and Demetrio Crisantes of the Diamondbacks were highlighted as near-certain candidates to receive protection. Teams must finalize their rosters before the Rule 5 Draft scheduled for Dec. 9.

The analysts also evaluated a dozen other eligible players who could warrant roster spots, including Brewers utility player Jett Williams and catcher Matthew Wood, Phillies infielder Aroon Escobar, and Orioles pitcher Patrick Reilly.
