Although Orioles right-hander Zach Eflin slumped to a 5.93 ERA during an injury-limited, 71 1/3-inning campaign in 2025, the O’s brought him back on a one-year, $10MM contract last winter.
Right-handed pitcher Zach Eflin would love to stay with the Baltimore Orioles despite facing free agency. Eflin's contract contains a $25 million mutual option for 2027, but the Orioles are expected to buy him out for $2 million after he underwent Tommy John surgery in April following just one start.
Eflin may seek a two-year deal on the open market as he continues to rehabilitate from elbow surgery. The 32-year-old previously registered a 3.54 ERA across 59 starts with the Tampa Bay Rays and Orioles between 2024 and 2025 before injuries derailed his recent campaigns.
