The Red Sox overhauled most of their coaching staff in late April after firing Alex Cora amid a 10-17 start.

The Boston Red Sox are reportedly reassigning two coaches on manager Chad Tracy's staff to developmental roles in the farm system. According to The Boston Globe, third-base coach Chad Epperson will become the manager of Triple-A Worcester in 2027, while first-base coach and outfield instructor Pablo Cabrera will return to his previous role as a minor-league defensive coordinator.
The reassignments leave two vacancies on the major-league staff ahead of the 2027 season. Uncertainty remains regarding other staff members, including bench coach José David Flores and hitting coaches Collin Hetzler and Nelson Paulino, who took over interim roles after Alex Cora was dismissed in late April.
