Well, now we know how highly the Braves regard Fuentes when it comes to their future plans

The Atlanta Braves reportedly refused to include 21-year-old pitcher Didier Fuentes in potential trade discussions for Tarik Skubal ahead of the 2026 MLB trade deadline. Atlanta deemed the breakout pitcher untouchable during negotiations with the Detroit Tigers, effectively ending their pursuit of the reigning Cy Young Award winner.
Following the breakdown in talks with Atlanta, the Tigers ultimately pivoted and traded Skubal to the Los Angeles Dodgers. The left-handed ace went on to make postseason starts for Los Angeles during their National League Championship Series matchup against the Milwaukee Brewers.
