Austin Riley hit a dramatic two-out, three-run home run in the bottom of the eighth inning to lift the Atlanta Braves to a 5-3 comeback victory over the Philadelphia Phillies on Tuesday. The Game 1 win at Truist Park gives Atlanta a 1-0 lead in the best-of-three National League Wild Card Series.

Starting pitcher Chris Sale pitched over six quality innings for Atlanta before the Braves fell behind 3-2. Riley, who batted just .219 during the regular season, connected off Phillies closer Jhoan Duran to secure the win and put Atlanta one victory away from the NLDS.
