The St. Louis Cardinals are parting ways with hitting coach Brant Brown after two seasons with the organization. St. Louis experienced an underwhelming offensive campaign in 2026, ranking 16th in scoring across Major League Baseball and finishing among the bottom five clubs in OPS, wOBA, and wRC+.
Despite the collective offensive struggles, the Cardinals saw significant individual progress from young players, including an All-Star breakout by Jordan Walker and a strong rookie season from infielder JJ Wetherholt. Manager Oli Marmol is expected to keep the majority of his coaching staff, including outfield coach Jon Jay and third base coach Ron Warner.
