The Bears’ quarterback depth, running game and defense have emerged as team strengths early this season—and that was the case again Sunday at Soldier Field.

The Chicago Bears defeated the New York Jets 23-12 on Sunday at Soldier Field to improve to a 3-1 record on the season. Starting quarterback Tyson Bagent threw for 268 yards in his first start since 2023, while running back Kyle Monangai rushed for 146 yards and two touchdowns on 30 carries under head coach Ben Johnson.
Chicago controlled the game statistically, holding advantages in total yards (492-157) and time of possession (42:45-17:15). Kicker Cairo Santos added three field goals, while the defense held the Jets to 0-for-7 on third down before the Bears sealed the win with an 18-play, game-ending drive.
