MLB insider Joel Sherman suggested a deal that would send White Sox infielder Sam Antonacci to the Yankees for a young pitcher, a painful idea but one Chicago could consider.
MLB insider Joel Sherman suggested a potential trade scenario sending Chicago White Sox rookie Sam Antonacci to the New York Yankees. With the Yankees facing the potential free agency departure of Jazz Chisholm, New York could target Antonacci for second base, while the White Sox could seek pitching help in return, such as prospect Elmer Rodriguez or starter Ryan Weathers.
Writer Noah Phalen argues the White Sox should consider the proposal despite Antonacci's productive .277/.370/.396 rookie campaign. Phalen points to Antonacci's defensive struggles in left field, where he posted -9 Outs Above Average, alongside a .608 OPS against left-handed pitchers.
