Chicago band The Empty Pockets are scheduled to perform an on-field set at Guaranteed Rate Field ahead of the Chicago White Sox's ALDS Game 3. In an interview, band members Josh Solomon, Erika Brett, and Adam Balasco discussed their upcoming 12-to-15-minute performance, comparing the major playoff appearance to a minor league ballplayer getting a "cup of coffee" in the majors.
The musicians addressed their upcoming album, Dear Billionaires, their touring plans, and their personal connections to Chicago sports. The band also shared their predictions for Game 3, which marks the White Sox's first home game of the series against the Cleveland Guardians.
