New executive spent past 5 seasons in Brewers front office…

Matt Roffe will be named the new director of amateur scouting for the Chicago White Sox, according to a Major League source. An official announcement from the club is expected early next week. Roffe arrives from the Milwaukee Brewers, where he served as assistant director of amateur scouting.
The 30-year-old joins the front office staff assembled by general manager Chris Getz. Roffe fills the vacancy created when Mike Shirley resigned on Sept. 12, taking charge of the White Sox amateur draft moving forward.
