The Cincinnati Reds have almost no choice but to hit the reset button and undergo yet another rebuild. This time, they should use the St. Louis Cardinals' blueprint.

Drew Koch of Blog Red Machine argues that the Cincinnati Reds should follow the rebuilding blueprint initiated by the St. Louis Cardinals to become competitive in the NL Central. Following reported tension between owner Bob Castellini and president Nick Krall regarding vetoed trades, Koch contends that Cincinnati must reset its roster rather than continuing on its current path.
Koch suggests the Reds should let upcoming free agents leave, assess young prospects, and evaluate key core players like Elly De La Cruz and Nick Lodolo for future trades.
