Are the Cincinnati Reds a fit for free agent outfielder Randy Arozarena? Someone seems to think so, but his thought process is highly questionable.

Writer Drew Koch criticizes former Cincinnati Reds general manager Jim Bowden for naming the Reds as a potential landing spot for free agent Randy Arozarena. While Koch agrees Arozarena's right-handed power would fit alongside Elly De La Cruz and Sal Stewart, he argues that the financial reality makes Bowden's proposal absurd.
Bowden projected a five-year, $124 million deal for Arozarena, which Koch claims exceeds Cincinnati's typical payroll constraints. Koch notes that while the Reds previously offered Kyle Schwarber a $125 million contract, that was a unique hometown scenario rather than an indicator of regular big-market spending.
