Aaron Ashby's is closing in on breaking Andrew Miller's record for scoreless innings to start a postseason.

Milwaukee Brewers reliever Aaron Ashby has thrown 15 2/3 consecutive scoreless innings this postseason, approaching Andrew Miller's record of 16 straight scoreless innings set with Cleveland in 2016. Ashby has an opportunity to surpass Miller's historic October mark during Game 3 of the World Series.
Writer Henry Palattella notes that Ashby has served as a dominant multi-inning weapon, pitching more than one inning in seven of his eight playoff outings. Most recently, manager Pat Murphy relied on Ashby for a 1 2/3-inning save to close out Milwaukee's Game 2 victory.
