The American League Championship Series shifts to Progressive Field for Game 3 between the Tampa Bay Rays and Cleveland Guardians, with the series tied 1-1. The game was moved to 1 p.m. ET on Thursday due to forecasted rain in Cleveland. Right-hander Griffin Jax is slated to start on the mound for Tampa Bay after the Rays leveled the series with a 3-1 victory in Game 2.
The Guardians are expected to counter with right-hander Gavin Williams, who struck out 24 batters across 11⅔ innings in the ALDS. Cleveland manager Stephen Vogt and Tampa Bay manager Kevin Cash will each look to rely on their pitching and key hitters, including José Ramírez for the Guardians and Junior Caminero and Yandy Díaz for the Rays, to claim a 2-1 series lead.
