The Guardains don't have a good excuse for leaving Tanner Bibee out of their ALCS pitching plans.

Cleveland Guardians manager Stephen Vogt stated that the spot never presented itself to use starting pitcher Tanner Bibee during the ALCS against the Tampa Bay Rays. Despite leading Cleveland with 33 starts and 188 innings in the regular season, Bibee was kept on the roster but went unused in the series after making only one relief appearance in the ALDS.
Writer Henry Palattella argues that keeping Bibee on the roster was a waste of space and suggests his postseason absence could prompt an offseason trade. Bibee struggled late in the year with a 7.36 ERA in September and noted that he recognizes the need to make adjustments heading into the offseason.
