The Colorado Rockies have officially promoted Owen Cuffe to the role of assistant director of pitching. Cuffe, who was hired by the organization in January 2026 as a pitching and rehab coach in the Arizona Complex League, was subsequently removed from his assignment with the Arizona Fall League pitching staff following the promotion.
In his new position, Cuffe is expected to work under Rockies director of pitching Matt Daniels. Cuffe previously assisted pitchers such as Jack Mahoney and Sean Sullivan with pitch design and throwing programs, and his elevation comes as the Rockies begin reshaping their coaching staff.
