Welcome to the 2026 edition of Ranking the Rockies, where we take a look back at every player to log playing time for the Rockies in 2026. The purpose of this list is to provide a snapshot of the player…
Purple Row's 2026 season review ranked center fielder Brenton Doyle at No. 49 among Colorado Rockies players based on his -0.4 rWAR. Doyle faced a difficult 2026 campaign marked by injuries and offensive struggles, slashing .207/.279/.270 across 43 games before suffering an injury in May. After a prolonged recovery, he returned in late July, but the Rockies chose to pivot to prospect Cole Carrigg.
Colorado subsequently traded Doyle to the Chicago White Sox near the trade deadline. Following the move, Doyle thrived in a platoon and defensive specialist role, raising his OPS to .720 across 94 plate appearances with his new club.
