The Story in 60 Seconds

Colorado Rockies catcher Hunter Goodman wants to become a complete catcher and aims to help the team's pitching staff find an edge in 2027. Goodman expressed that he feels better about his overall performance when calling pitches behind the plate himself rather than receiving pitch calls directly from the dugout, following the dismissal of former pitching coach Alon Leichman.

Elsewhere within the organization, Colorado hired former player Andre Lipcius as a video advance scout under General Manager Josh Byrnes, while rookie first baseman TJ Rumfield received Baseball Prospectus's annual Vogelsong Award.
