This Week in Purple: Let’s Talk About That

Purple Row's Evan Lang highlights the Colorado Rockies announcing an end-of-season press conference following the conclusion of their 2026 campaign. On Tuesday, October 6, team president Walker Monfort and president of baseball operations Paul DePodesta are scheduled to address the media at 20th and Blake to discuss the franchise's direction.

Lang views the media availability as a refreshing departure from past seasons of communication silence after losing years. Despite finishing the 2026 season with a 58-104 record—marking their fourth straight 100-loss season—Lang notes the organization has shown increased openness since overhauling the front office.
