The Story in 60 Seconds

Purple Row ranked relief pitcher TJ Shook at No. 37 in its 2026 player review series after he recorded -0.1 rWAR. Acquired in the Triple-A phase of the 2025 Rule 5 Draft from the New York Mets, the right-hander earned a June promotion and made his MLB debut with a scoreless inning against the Los Angeles Angels.

Shook pitched five total games for Colorado across multiple stints in 2026 while also posting a 3.45 ERA with Triple-A Albuquerque. Samantha Bradfield notes that while Shook performed reasonably well outside of a rough outing against the Giants, his future with the Rockies remains uncertain heading into the offseason.
