Four takeaways from Tigers’ end-of-season press conference

Detroit Tigers President of Baseball Operations Scott Harris and manager A.J. Hinch addressed the media on Monday following the conclusion of the regular season. Harris labeled the 76-86 campaign a missed opportunity after missing the postseason, taking personal responsibility for roster vulnerabilities.

Harris attributed the team's struggles largely to a lack of depth exposed during a 6-22 stretch in May. Early injuries to Parker Meadows, Gleyber Torres, and Javier Báez, alongside Tarik Skubal's elbow injury, severely depleted the roster before young prospects were ready to contribute.
