Tigers Get Major Update on Potential Tarik Skubal Reunion

MLB insider Mark Feinsand listed the Detroit Tigers as a potential suitor to re-sign left-handed pitcher Tarik Skubal in unrestricted free agency. Detroit previously traded Skubal to the Los Angeles Dodgers before the trade deadline for three prospects. Skubal is entering the open market following the Dodgers' elimination in the NLCS and is widely projected to command a contract near $400 million.

While Skubal previously stated on the "Pardon My Take" podcast that he would love to return to Detroit, Feinsand expressed skepticism that the Tigers would participate in an aggressive bidding war. Tigers president of baseball operations Scott Harris called Skubal's fondness for the city validating but refrained from directly discussing upcoming free-agent negotiations.
