Freddy Peralta, Brewers Fan Favorite Of The Past 8 Seasons, Stands In Milwaukee’s Way

Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Freddy Peralta will start Game 3 of the World Series on Monday against the Milwaukee Brewers, the team where he spent eight seasons. Milwaukee currently holds a 2-0 series lead. Peralta, who was traded by Milwaukee to the Mets in January before joining Tampa Bay at the trade deadline, will try to keep the Rays from falling into a 3-0 deficit.

After struggling with the Mets, Peralta posted a 3.25 ERA across 10 starts for Tampa Bay and earned ALCS MVP honors after going 3-0 against the Cleveland Guardians. Brewers manager Pat Murphy and Peralta's former teammates expressed deep affection for him, while Peralta emphasized maintaining a professional mindset despite the emotional reunion.
