Bobby Witt Jr. is a finalist for all three major position player awards this season, but he could walk away without a single one after a down season by his standards.

Writer Brian Burrows argues that Kansas City Royals shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. risks finishing the award season without winning any major hardware. Although named a finalist for the Gold Glove, AL MVP, and Silver Slugger, Witt already lost the Gold Glove to Tampa Bay Rays shortstop Taylor Walls.
Burrows notes that Yordan Alvarez is the clear favorite for AL MVP following a dominant offensive season. Additionally, Detroit Tigers rookie Kevin McGonigle presents strong competition for the Silver Slugger, alongside Los Angeles Angels shortstop Zach Neto potentially pulling away key votes.
