Kansas City Royals catcher Carter Jensen will help Kansas City kick off the upcoming holiday season this year.

Kansas City Royals catcher Carter Jensen has been chosen to flip the switch at the 97th annual Country Club Plaza lighting ceremony. The Kansas City native will officially turn on the lights on Thanksgiving night, November 26, at approximately 6:25 p.m.
The honor follows an impressive rookie campaign for the 23-year-old, who set a franchise rookie record with 27 home runs. Jensen was also recently featured as the drum honoree for the Kansas City Chiefs' home game on October 17.
