High school football: Top performers in the Southland

Eric Sondheimer highlighted the standout individual high school football performances across Southern California following the week's games. Notable rushing displays included Ceasar Reyes of Garfield, who ran for 374 yards and five touchdowns against Bell, and Fairfax's Tru Warrior Casas, who amassed 367 rushing yards and four touchdowns against Westchester.

Passing milestones included San Juan Hills quarterback Eiler King throwing for 473 yards and seven touchdowns against Los Alamitos. On defense, Turner Odell of Chino Hills returned two interceptions for touchdowns, while Santa Margarita secured a win against Mater Dei behind Isaia Vandermade's two sacks.
