Prep talk: Three-sport standout Kai Beary plays role for 27-0 JSerra flag football team

Three-sport standout athlete Kai Beary has played an important role in leading JSerra's unbeaten girls' flag football team to a 27-0 record this season. JSerra is scheduled to face Newport Harbor in the CIF Southern Section Open Division championship game at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday at Huntington Beach. Beary contributes to the team by catching passes on offense and bolstering the defense.

Beary is a committed soccer goalkeeper who is set to attend Georgetown in January to begin preparing for the collegiate season. She previously won the Southern Section Division 3 title in the shotput last season, but will miss the upcoming high school track and field season due to her early college departure.
