The Dodgers showed signs of life during Game 3 of the NLCS, but Bill Plaschke writes the reigning champs can't survive their crushing collapse.

Bill Plaschke argues that the Los Angeles Dodgers are effectively eliminated from World Series contention after losing 6-2 to the Milwaukee Brewers in Game 3 of the NLCS. The defeat leaves the defending champions facing an insurmountable 3-0 series deficit. Los Angeles took a 2-1 lead in the sixth inning via Will Smith's two-run double, but starter Blake Snell surrendered consecutive home runs to Jake Bauers and Garrett Mitchell in the seventh.
Plaschke criticizes manager Dave Roberts' decisions to leave Snell in the game and avoid small-ball tactics. He also faults the Dodgers for allowing an injured Shohei Ohtani to play through physical issues instead of managing his playing time.
