Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Alek Thomas has officially elected free agency following the conclusion of the minor league season. Thomas ended the 2026 campaign with Triple-A Oklahoma City after being designated for assignment and outrighted in early September, granting him the right to enter the open market.
The 26-year-old was acquired by the Dodgers from the Arizona Diamondbacks in May in exchange for minor leaguer Jose Requena. Thomas appeared in seven major-league games for Los Angeles in August before finishing the year helping Oklahoma City secure the Triple-A National Championship title.
