MILWAUKEE -- The last time the Dodgers dropped the first game of a postseason series, right-hander Yoshinobu Yamamoto evened last year’s Fall Classic by tossing a complete game.

The Los Angeles Dodgers are relying on postseason ace Yoshinobu Yamamoto to even the National League Championship Series against the Milwaukee Brewers in Game 2. The Dodgers trail 1-0 in the best-of-seven series following a 2-1 loss in Game 1 at American Family Field on Sunday. Yamamoto will face Brewers rookie right-hander Logan Henderson as Los Angeles looks to rebound.
Yamamoto holds a 9-1 career postseason record with the Dodgers, including an undefeated mark in six road playoff starts. After dropping Game 1 behind starter Tarik Skubal, teammates Freddie Freeman and Mookie Betts, along with manager Dave Roberts, expressed strong confidence in Yamamoto while emphasizing the offense's need to generate timely run support.
