Los Angeles Dodgers special assistant Rocco Baldelli has withdrawn his name from consideration for the Seattle Mariners' managerial vacancy. According to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic, the 45-year-old stepped away from the search due to family considerations. Baldelli previously managed the Minnesota Twins for seven seasons before joining the Dodgers' front office in December 2025.
With Baldelli no longer an option, the Mariners' search reportedly includes former Houston Astros manager Joe Espada and Chicago Cubs director of player development Jason Kanzler. Baldelli, who won the 2019 American League Manager of the Year award, remains interested in managing again in the future.
