Following a week of criticism aimed at Lincoln Riley and USC, the Trojans upset No. 2 Ohio State 30-18 in what is arguably their biggest win in years.

USC pulled off a major upset by defeating No. 2 Ohio State 30-18 at the Coliseum on Saturday. Fresh off a disappointing loss to Wisconsin, head coach Lincoln Riley and the Trojans revitalized their season with big offensive plays and resilient red-zone defense. Freshmen Trent Mosley and Mark Bowman starred, scoring early and creating explosive gains to secure Riley's first top-10 victory during his tenure at USC.
Mosley opened the game with a 69-yard touchdown reception, while Bowman provided a 70-yard catch-and-run in the second half. Quarterback Jayden Maiava threw for 222 yards, and rushing scores from Waymond Jordan and King Miller paced the offense. Despite Ohio State generating 464 total yards behind quarterback Luke Fahey, USC limited the Buckeyes to field goals until late in the fourth quarter.
