The Milwaukee Brewers activated corner infielder Andrew Vaughn from the 10-day injured list on Friday. Vaughn had been sidelined since September 22 due to an illness. The move positions him to be included on Milwaukee's 26-man Division Series roster ahead of their upcoming postseason matchup against the San Diego Padres.
Vaughn batted .306/.390/.444 with six home runs across 331 plate appearances in a part-time role this season. Elsewhere, pitcher Brandon Woodruff is attempting an October return from a shoulder injury, throwing from flat ground on Friday in hopes of working off a mound soon.
