Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Garrett Mitchell has become a central contributor in the team's 2026 postseason run after overcoming years of recurring injuries. Mitchell played in a career-high 145 regular-season games this year, posting a 3.4 bWAR and a .354 on-base percentage to help propel Milwaukee into the National League Championship Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Mitchell's impact expanded in the playoffs, highlighted by driving in the opening run and robbing Manny Machado of a home run in NLDS Game 4 against the San Diego Padres. In Game 1 of the NLCS, Mitchell drew a walk and scored the decisive run in a 2-1 victory over Tarik Skubal, earning high praise from manager Pat Murphy and president of baseball operations Matt Arnold.
