Bo Bichette is expected to exercise his $42 million player option to return to the New York Mets for the 2027 season, according to sources cited by Will Sammon. Bichette's contract also includes an additional $42 million player option for 2028.
Vasilis Drimalitis writes that opting in was expected following Bichette's mixed 2026 campaign, in which he batted .260 with 18 home runs and a 96 wRC+ over 160 games after signing a short-term deal with New York.
