The Los Angeles Dodgers are reportedly considering benching superstar Shohei Ohtani for Game 3 of the NLCS, according to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic. The consideration comes after the Dodgers suffered a 7-4 defeat to the Milwaukee Brewers on Monday, falling behind 2-0 in the series.
Ohtani has struggled significantly during the postseason, slashing .150/.261/.150 with seven strikeouts across 20 at-bats. The designated hitter has dealt with injuries since September, failing to hit a home run since August 18 and recording just one RBI during that span.
