Tim Kabel previews the New York Yankees' upcoming American League Division Series against the Tampa Bay Rays after sweeping the Boston Red Sox in the Wild Card round. Kabel analyzes key roster dilemmas ahead of Game 1, including the uncertain health status of Aaron Judge and questions surrounding Giancarlo Stanton's readiness under manager Aaron Boone.

Kabel argues that the Rays represent a much tougher opponent than the Red Sox and predicts Tampa Bay will win the series in five games. He emphasizes that starting pitcher Gerrit Cole must avoid giving up home runs against Rays starter Drew Rasmussen to give New York an early advantage.
