The ALCS is now essentially a best-of-three.
The Tampa Bay Rays defeated the Cleveland Guardians 7-3 on Saturday night to tie the American League Championship Series at two games apiece. Tampa Bay's offense broke out after producing just 18 runs over its previous six postseason games, overcoming challenging wind and temperature conditions.
The top four batters in Tampa Bay's lineup—Yandy Diaz, Jonathan Aranda, Chandler Simpson, and Junior Caminero—combined for six hits and six runs driven in. Caminero hit a tiebreaking double in the sixth inning, while Diaz sealed the win with a two-run home run in the ninth.
