Japan's Seibu Lions confirmed they will make starting pitcher Kaima Taira available to Major League Baseball clubs via the posting system. The posting process is set to officially open in early November, providing the 26-year-old right-hander a 45-day window to negotiate and sign a permanent contract with an MLB team.
Taira recorded a 1.36 ERA across 146 innings over 23 appearances this past season in Nippon Professional Baseball. The San Francisco Giants and Toronto Blue Jays are reportedly among the clubs that have scouted Taira ahead of his posting.
