You probably haven't heard of Ju-Won Kim, but his name may become familiar soon as the Phillies scout the star Korean shortstop.

The Philadelphia Phillies have been actively scouting Korean shortstop Ju-Won Kim and could target him once he becomes eligible for posting, writes Ethan Williams. The 24-year-old NC Dinos standout recently hit 18 home runs, stole 30 bases, and won the Korea Baseball Organization's Golden Glove Award as the top defensive shortstop.
Williams argues that Kim could serve as a long-term solution for Philadelphia amid ongoing defensive struggles from starting shortstop Trea Turner. While the Phillies plan to give Turner another chance at shortstop in 2027, Kim could potentially be posted following the 2027 or 2028 KBO seasons.
