Pittsburgh Pirates pitching prospect Levi Sterling expressed confidence in his development following a productive 2026 campaign across two minor league levels. The 20-year-old right-hander earned a late-season promotion to High-A Greensboro, where he helped the team secure a 5-3 playoff victory by throwing five scoreless innings.
Over 24 total starts in 2026, Sterling recorded a 4.56 ERA and struck out 130 batters across 108 2/3 innings. He reduced his walk rate, improved his slider command, and increased his average fastball velocity from 90.2 mph in 2025 to 93.6 mph.
